Uh..hi.

I've wanted to start a blog for a long time now. Been on the "pick a name for your blog" page for quite a few days now without doing anything about it. So why did I finally start this blog? I figured hey, everyone else is doing it. Best justification for anything ever, right? I hope I write something that someone cares about eventually.

I guess this is a good place to introduce myself. Maybe you can suggest something of interest for me to write about. Name's Jacob. I'm a freshman computer engineering major at UMD, and I'm in STS. I do not enjoy long walks on the beach. But I do enjoy folding paper and reading various things (when I have the time), including these webcomics: licd, questionable content, xkcd, smbc, hijinks ensue, cad, radioactive panda, l.o.v.e., misery loves sherman. I also enjoy beating your high scores in mindless flash games, listening to music, and attending R@M meetings when I'm not failing my classes. At some point I intend to actually go rock climbing (I'm technically a member of the club), but that may not happen because the stupid people who live in my residence hall complained that I shouldn't leave for North campus. We'll see.

Right now I don't have any particularly important issues to talk about, so I guess I'll talk about my (yester)day.

I saw Avatar, woooo!....
I didn't think it was as awesome as I've been hearing, but it was pretty good. Maybe that's because all you people saw it in 3D at the IMAX or something and I just saw it in a regular theater. 3D glasses give me dain bramage anyway.

It was great though because I got to spend some time with a friend I haven't seen in a long time. Plus, she gave me my only Hanukkah present! Yay for cool people who give me things! Now give me monies so I can buy a computer that doesn't suck major balls. You will receive a "yay" in return.

Well so much for writing something that someone might care about. Oh well.
